A project timeline
A project runs from March 9 to June 26, 2026: 109 days, or 3 months and 17 days. That’s 79 weekdays and 30 weekend days. Memorial Day and Juneteenth both fall on weekdays in between, which leaves 77 working days.
Counting both ends
Leave from Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 14 is 11 days apart, but both days are taken off. Tick Include the end date and it’s 12 days.
How the days are counted
The start date counts and the end date doesn’t, which is how “days between” is usually meant: today to tomorrow is 1 day. Month lengths and February 29 are handled automatically.
Years, months and days follow the calendar: March 9 to June 9 is 3 months whatever the month lengths, then the remaining days are added. If the start is on the 31st and a month is shorter, its last day is used.
Weekdays are Monday to Friday. Working days also skip U.S. federal holidays. Hours and minutes assume full 24-hour days; for clock times, use the time duration calculator.
